Helm Bank USA offers a variety of deposit accounts that are available for your banking needs. In order to help you make the best decision, here is a brief description of each of our products.
Earn interest on the money you have set aside for future needs. Interest accrues daily and is credited to your savings account on a monthly basis. Customers can use their ATM Card or wire transfers to make withdrawals. Transfers and withdrawals from a savings account is limited to a combined total of six (6) per calendar month. There is a minimum balance requirement to avoid the imposition of fees.
HELM MONEY MARKET
Money market accounts are similar to savings accounts, but require you to maintain a higher balance to avoid monthly fees. Interest accrues daily and is credited to your money market account on a monthly basis. Customers can use their ATM/Debit Card Card, checks or wire transfers to make withdrawals. Transfers and withdrawals from a money market account is limited to a combined total of six (6) per calendar month. There is a minimum balance requirement to avoid the imposition of fees.
HELM CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT
Invest your money at a set interest rate for a specific period of time. This specific period of time is known as the “term”. Our Certificate of Deposits (CD's) are an alternative to our savings accounts and provides you with the opportunity to earn a higher interest rate. Certificates are issued with flexible maturities ranging from 30 days to 60 months. CD's earn simple interest that can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or at maturity.
You may not make any deposits into your Certificate of Deposit before maturity. You can withdraw your funds prior to maturity, but will be subject to an early withdrawal penalty. There is a minimum balance requirement to open and maintain a certificate of deposit.
- With any of our savings account options, you can set and activate a variety of alerts when enrolled with our Helm Online service. For example, you can set an alert to notify you when your account’s starting balance is at or below the minimum amount specified. Account alerts are free of charge.
- View up to 13 months of statements once enrolled with our Helm Online service.
- FDIC Insurance: The FDIC covers all types of deposits, including checking accounts, NOW accounts, money market accounts and certificate of deposit up to the maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000) for all combined deposits in the same bank.
