What is the W-8 Form?

Why is it important to update it?

The W-8 Forms are documents required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from foreign entities (both individuals and companies) in the U.S. These forms are important for foreign individuals and entities to provide information about their tax status and beneficiary status for tax withholding purposes in the United States.

Keeping this information current is essential, as the form needs to be renewed every three years.
