What is the W-8 Form?

If your account has multiple holders, each one must
submit an updated W-8 form.
For Business W-8 BEN-E: Signer must be an authorized signer and any beneficial owner with more than 10% of ownership must complete and sign a W-8 BEN.
If your country recognizes a national ID as a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN), you may enter it in Line 6a.
For example, in Colombia, the cédula de ciudadanía is officially accepted by the Colombian tax authority (DIAN) as a FTIN.
Important information for W-8BEN-E (ENTITIES) forms:
- Legal Representative’s Signature: The W-8BEN-E form for entities must be signed by the legal representative.
- Business Information Update: If there have been changes in the company’s information, such as the address, update this information with the bank.
